“Beatriz is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris and holds a master's degree in economics and development issues. She joined the French Development Agency in 2010 as a Country executive in Mexico, where she was in charge of the climate change and sustainable rural development portfolio. ”

In 2013, she was Regional Coordinator for Mexico in AFD headquarters, and in 2014 she became responsible of setting up the “sustainable development second opinion” for all the operations of the Agency. Before joining AFD, Beatriz was deputy director of the social and economic analysis department at BANSEF (2007-2010), a Mexican development bank in the field of financial inclusion and microfinance, where she implemented the national financial education strategy and conducted an impact evaluation program of the public financial inclusion and capacity building programs of the popular financial intermediaries. As diplomat, she worked at the Mexican Representation at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) where she was a delegate to the DAC, the Education Committee and the Territorial Development Committee in particular (2003-2007). She has also been a consultant in social development for Mexican municipalities and parliamentary representatives, among several other work experiences.
