“Claudette Martinez is Mexican, has studies in business administration and is a candidate for master’s degree in International Management. She is a seasoned manager with over 15 years of experience working in financial inclusion projects. She has held regional management and technical consultancy positions including as Team Leader for Mexico Financial Services Prosperity Program implemented by DAI Europe, as Assistant Director of financial inclusion practice, monitoring projects in 5 LAC countries and Business Development Manager for DAI Mexico and LAC.”

Claudette has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial and is a candidate for master’s degree in International Management from Instituto Autónomo de México (ITAM). She is certified with national and international courses and seminars on issues of financial inclusion, customer-focused product design, digital finance, among others.

Before joining Micro, she worked as Team Leader of the Mexico Financial Services Prosperity Program implemented by DAI. She has over 15 years of experience in the design of proposals for multilateral organizations, governments and the private sector in the LAC region, development and implementation of financial inclusion projects and research in the sector, supply, and demand level, with qualitative methodologies and quantitative.

She has worked as a specialist in financial inclusion with various national and international organizations (DAI, EA Consultant, Sparkassen, Fundación Capital, among others) and as a consultant in government agencies, networks, associations and in more than 20 financial institutions. She has also held management and technical consulting positions in the practice of financial inclusion with a regional scope.

She has led or participated as a researcher in quantitative and qualitative studies on the state of development of financial inclusion, analysis of the supply for underserved populations such as women, rural producers, micro franchises and social enterprises, as well as the analysis of credit needs, savings and insurance of the populations at the vulnerable populations for the development of services and products.
